| Day 01: Cochin
On arrival at Cochin airport be welcomed and assisted by our airport counter staff. They will also escort you to a pre-booked hotel in your name. Cochin is the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala and it is also known as Kochi and the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as, the Gateway to Kerala. Relax and fresh up at the hotel and proceed for a local tour of Cochin, covering places like Bolghatty Island, Bolghatty Palace , Chennamangalam, houses the oldest synagogue in Kerala , Chinese Fishing Nets , Fort Kochi Fort Kochi Beach , Jewish Synagogue, Santa Cruz Baslica , Willingdon Island , etc. You can spend your evening shopping. Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Cochin – Munnar
Depart Cochin in the morning, and drive to Munnar, set amid southern India's most dramatic mountain scenery and the combination of craggy Peaks, Manicured Tea Estates. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Munnar
After breakfast at the hotel, plan you own day. What awaits you is crisp mountain air, which makes Munnar a delightful alternative to the better-known hill stations of Tamil Nadu. It is a perennial favorite of 'Honeymooners' and offer magnificent scenery and wonderful walks. At Munnar you are free to explore its beauty of nature. Visit Pothanmedu for an excellent view of plantation, Pallivasal , Nyayamakad water falls. Also visit Top station, which is one of the major attractions of Munnar. It is 1700meters above sea level, from where you get a panoramic view of Kodaikanal. Later visit Eravikulam – Rajamalai Wild life sanctuary, Mudapetty Dam etc. In the evening return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Munnar – Periyar
After breakfast, drive to Periyar. Periyar is also called as Thekkedy .The Periyar wild life sanctuary is one of the major wild life sanctuaries in India. It was also declared a Tiger reserve in 1978. On arrival at Thekkedy, check-in at the resort. Relax and then proceed for a local tour visit to Periyar Lake. Periyar wild life sanctuary can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motorboat. Elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur monkeys, etc. can be seen easily. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Periyar – Kumarakom
In the morning check out hotel and drive to Kumarakom, known as jewels of Kerala. It is an enchanting backwater destination in the map of Kerala. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, it is a small water world, where you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. On arrival at Kumarakom check-in at the resort. After a relaxing meal at the water resort, proceed for a local tour of Kumarakom, visiting Kumarakom back waters ,Kumarakom bird sanctuary ,and House boat Jetty etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Kumarakom (House boat) – Alleppey
In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to deluxe houseboat for a 24hrs Kerala back water cruise, covering Kumarakom and Alleppey back waters. Each houseboat is of excellent construction and luxurious furnishing with exquisite flooring, hull and valavara (canopy). They are in top cruise worthy condition. With a sun deck, spacious living / dining area and attached toilets. Houseboat is usually manned by a crew, comprising a cook, a guide and oarsman. While aboard you can avail similar facilities offered in a star hotel. All meals will be served inside the houseboat open top dinning hall. Spend a memorable night beneath stars on the houseboat.
Day 07: Alleppey
In the morning, after breakfast, check out the houseboat as it reaches Alleppey. At Alleppey our representative awaits you, who will drive you to Alleppey backwater resort. Check-in at the resort and later proceed for a local tour of Alleppey. It is a district of immense natural beauty also referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’ by travelers from across the world. This backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. Visit Kuttanad, also called as rice bowl of Kerala because of her wealth of paddy crops, is at the very heart of the backwaters. You can also visit Alappuzha beach, Sea View Park etc. Return back to the resort for overnight stay.
Day 08: Alleppey – Kovalam
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kovalam. On arrival check-in at the beach resort. Kovalam was ones the fishing village and today the "Paradise of the South". Take some rest and enjoy a sumptuous meal. In the afternoon laze off in the sand at Kovalam beach. This beach town is probably the most important tourist destination in the state. The good beaches and excellent hotels and resort make it a tourist favorite. The other attractions are the Ayurvedic health programs offered by a various health centers and resort. Thirty years ago Kovalam was a hippy idyll: a picture-perfect beach; a traditional Kerala fishing and toddy (coconut beer); and about as far from decadent western civilization as you could get and still hear Jim, Janis and Jimi. Kovalam retains a certain charm and is still popular with travelers carving some rest from the long haul across the subcontinent. The beaches are generally safe and clean and the powerful Arabian Sea swells are inviting and invigorating. And each night local fishermen still row their boats out to sea.
Day 09: Kovalam - Kanyakumari
Early in the morning after breakfast, proceed for full day tour of Kanyakumari visiting Kumari Amman temple, Vivekananda rock, Gandhi memorial. Return back by evening to Kovalam and rest of the day is free to relax and take Ayurvedic massage on the beach shore. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 10 : Kovalam –Trivanduram
After the breakfast at the hotel in Kovalam, the tour guide arranges for you to be driven to Trivandrum from where you board your fight for your onward journey.
