Day 01: Arrive Chennai
Tour starts with arrival at Chennai airport where our representative meets you and escorts you to the hotel. Later at noon, visit the picturesque Marina Beach that is the most popular tourist attraction in Tamil Nadu tours. Stay for the night at the hotel.
Day 02 : Chennai
After breakfast at the hotel begin your city tour, visiting Kabalishwara Temple, Santhom Church, St. George Fort and Madras (Chennai) Museum with a fine collection of ancient paintings of almost all schools, Mylapore Shiva Temple. Rest of the day free for shopping in Chennai. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Chennai-Mahabalipuram
Depart Chennai for Mahabalipuram, visiting Kanchipuram en-route. Here you can visit Kailasanatha Temple, Vaikunda Perumal Temple, Varatharaja Temple and Ekambareswara Temple. From here continue drive to Mahabalipuram and check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04 : Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram, visiting Cave Temples, Rock Temples, Monolithic Temples, Shore Temple and the Five Rathas. Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 05 : Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry
Depart Mahabalipuram and drive to Pondicherry, once a French colony, has now become the seat of yoga and meditation. Visit Auroville en-route. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Post lunch, visit to Aurobindo Ashram is arranged. Other places to visit are Pondicherry Museum and sculpture gallery with an outstanding collection of artifacts. Relax at the beach in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Pondicherry-Tanjore
Leave Pondicherry and drive to Chidambaram, to be a part of special ceremony at Nataraja Temple. After lunch continue drive to Gangai Kondacholapuram, Kumbakonam, and Darasuram. From here, drive to Tanjore and check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Tanjore-Trichy
After breakfast at the hotel, half day city tour of Tanjore is arranged, where you can visit Brahadeeswara temple, the second largest monolithic sculpture, Nandi (Bull), the Royal palace complex, which houses library and museums.Depart Tanjore for Trichy. Arrive Trichy, the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period and check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08: Trichy-Madurai
Post breakfast sightseeing tour of Rock Fort Temple and Srirangam Temple that are largely visited as part of Tamil Nadu tours. Return to the hotel at noon and then proceed to Madurai, the magnificent temple town of Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, check in to hotel for night stay.
Day 09 : Madurai
After breakfast, leave for a half-day city sightseeing tour covering Gandhi Museum, Tirumalai Nayak Mahal and Vaniyur Mariamman Teppakulam. Return to the hotel at noon. We take you for a visit to the beautiful Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in the evening. Witness the prayer ceremony (Aarti) here and then retire to the hotel for night stay.
Day 10 : Madurai-Periyar
Leave Madurai and drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary through lush green agricultural and hill areas. Check-in at the hotel. Spend your afternoon boating on the Lake Periyar to explore the sanctuary at its best. You can shop at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 : Periyar-Cochin
After breakfast go for a boat ride and drive past the spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee and tea estates. Leave Periyar and drive to Kottayam. Post lunch a private boat is arranged for you to sail you through the backwaters and drop you at Alleppey where our representative awaits you in a car and drive you to Cochin. On arrival check-in at the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 12: Cochin
After breakfast, get ready to explore Cochin, the commercial capital of Kerala. Vasco-Da-Gama placed this spice centre and the natural harbor on the world map. The tourist places in the city include a Jewish synagogue - The Dutch Palace, Portuguese Churches, Mosques, Hindu temples and Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening attend the traditional Kathakali Dance Show. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Depart Cochin
Your tour ends today and you check out from hotel to proceed to the airport/railway station. Our representative assists you in boarding onward flight/train back home.
